1st annual Feral Cow ride
todays ride started out leiserly with coffiee and bacon and rice
after bonnie decided that there was "enough" oil in the Xr 2 whateverre
the riders meeting was skipped by all
after a quarter mile ole bonnie recognized hiz rear tire was 7 PSI
and short 21 mile later, just past deep creek, got out his pump
bin Rydin was all pumped up
and 12.5 PSI is just a few short strokes when set on MBT...
well grinding out gravel to get there the extra PSI apparent
sticky you air ant tire
corner you beast
snuffnin up every "opertuniny" i found a few connectorZ trails
layin low as i were by myself ( it was invitational, but just bonnie responded)
i played cool throttle
started out pretty cool
all zipped up
vented on top of signal buttes, the zippers wide open
zippered closed down by the rouge river
hit chilling fog by gold beach fog, goggle fogging by the 1/10th mile
106 miles took 1.71 gallons gas, aboute 60+ MPG
i still had 0.9 G in the stock tank
coulda shoulda, but rode alone, so ride safe, and get home againe
but it was pretty frosty on the north side
where the sun don't shine
lots o'frost and leaf slimbe in the corners
lots of non leanining straight up
the maple trees are giveing the last color to the trail
came across an elk bull with a rack big
he was standing on the deep creek road big
had nought been there in 10 years

So I almost forgot why this ride is called "feral cow"
i'm out there just putzin along
and i come across this "cow trap"
it is this steel corral with hay in the center of it, and leading up to it
a trail of hay
it has this trap door, so if a cow goes into it
the door slams shut, and it is trapped in the metal encloser
it has a sign on it (in english) god bless the UNFS ?
to basically "not furk with this trap[as it is a cooperative effort]
tween the feral cowes ownwer, the blm, and the unfs...
BTW, no ferel cowes were stupid enoche to be witnessesed
at this remote trap
also, bonnie thought better of rideing through its intake valve

what a bike~~~
IT SEEMS the unfs has trapped and killed all the wild horses in the area
decommishioned all the roads
i did not see a lot of extactic salminoids or spotted owles
but i did ride the western "controlled back burn" edge
off a 500,000 acre fire
it burned in summer o' 2002
it still stinkes

Thank's Bonnie, Thank's Tawm!
Hey bin, thank's for the honerable mention...... I think? Sometimes I'm not sure what you mean 'till I read it a few times. I told Tawm not to take my picture with me just sitt'n' there looking stupid (eyes closed - eyes open, you decide which is an illusion), but he did it anyway!
Hey Tawm, thanks for making me look stupid just sitting there. I could of been doing something cool like.... a stoppie, or a wheelie, or elbows out like I was going fast, or a jump! The cool list goes on and on...
The sun was great, though! Tawm yells "Stop, I need to get e picture! The light is perfect!" A true photographer thru and thru!

the way back machine was set to 30 years ago
and armed with maps, i set out to recreate
but that was naught to bee
first i went up to upper Bidwell Park
gates closed and many "humans" squintitched up
trying to be cool in the nude green oder
then up to Chohasset olde Bonnie whent
saw signs pointing towards the "Muds and Suds"
sounded good cause it just rained
and the orange mud trails were frosty
after repeated attempts to find the Cohasset ~> Forest Ranch connector
and the loco advice of XR 100 riders
i just sniffed (no laughts from the sweepewrs)
and found the hidden "ponderosa"
so i am going down the ponderosa
and i hit ANOTHER no trespassinmg sign
so i pull over yet again to check my map
this olde pickup[ is comeing up the road
the occupants know my brotrher and law

tell me that the owner of Sierra Nevada Brewing Company
(BIG GREEN) outfit
has bought the whole watershed
and gated off this county thrueway
AND has taxed eveyone in the county
to but up all the land inbetween the upper park
and his kingshiops "private property"
so i checked it out
"the public" loves thgAT the brewer
"saved the land"
and now nobody can go there anymore...

you see, today i striped ole bonnie bare
she is all trussed up
her naked frame dangleing from the garage rafters
suspended by three drywall screws, three tie downs, a hope and a wish...
her front legs ended up proped up next to the chimney
her rear shock is lying next to the forks
she looks like some night riding "ghost bike" dangeling from and Ancra
tie down in the center of the alter of MY garage
My garage is like no other garage in the universe
i have archived several pairs of 1973 Susukie TC-100 trail cat forks
so ole Bonnie is hanging from the rafters in this environmental
"LAST GREAT PLACE"
"Snickers" (one of the otter vehickles) , is digging the de shocking nudes
and even the 1983 XR 217 Orange Dawg project
a genetic transplant if i ever saw one
has his tounge hanging out
his 200 millimeter caged reflector halogen eyes say
"lets go ride in the frozen mud dad..."
