There was a photographer or two on the "A" loops at trail 310 and the Rubicon. Will those pictures be available at some time in the future? When I was there in the past Maddox photography did it.
Thanks,
Toby

That might have been Mike Moore and Walt Koch... They are working on some video footage for the 20th Black dog. It should be coming to a theater near you, soon!

Andy's broken frame
I have come to the conclusion that you should not put the front top strut mount anywhere on the KLR's front down tube. This is the 3rd frame we have broken all with mounts to the down tube each a little different, this one at the front motor mount, a second one a bit higher and one with the old style Dauntless clamp near the exhaust port. All three of these bikes had seen extremely hard use and might not have failed with more normal use, but if you offroad the KLR you will end up playing hard sooner or later...
The newer Dauntless/DMC mounts for the KLR clamps to the gusset tube at the headstock and braces in 2 additional places. It is much better and stronger than their original mounts or any of my home built mounts Even if you choose to fab the rest of your mounts, I would encourage you to buy the top front mount from DMC. I've replaced this mount on all my rigs with the DMC piece. I can't make anything that will fit as well or is as strong as the DMC mount and i feel it is well worth the money.

Hey Vernon, is that a $400 fix for Andy's bike? I know he has some extra cash...
It was so good seeing you, Amy, and Andy. Josh and I think your TPs are pretty cool, too. Thanks again for the chili!

Toby S, you are correct, we were at trail 310 and the rubicon, and a few other areas as well. We are going to try and put together a DVD as Danno mentioned above. If you or anybody else you know has some stills, or helmet cam, whatever type footage of the 2011 20th annual Black Dog, we would like to get a copy of it, if at all possible. There is a boatload of footage to crank through, and it will take a while before we get something out, as it takes a while to "post-process" this stuff. Stay tuned.
