I just signed in as a member, but have been following your site for a bit. I am going to run part of the Back Country ride from Hoodo to ? this summer. Thinking making a short day trip from Hoodo to South Twin, then back to Bend.
I also have a few DS rides in the area if anyone is thinking of coming this direction. 100 to 150 milers.
Also if anyone is riding the Back Country through X-mas valley send me an e-mail. I know some people have had problems in the past, and I can give directions on the fastest way out, when it gets hot.
If anyone is interested in information, or riding conditions, give me a shout.

PS: If your going to ride in the desert, lose your roost protector. It will do nothing but keep your body heat in, and the sand hitting you doesn't hurt that bad.

Could have done with your help 2 years ago ... where were when it reached 106 in CV ?

Nothing in stone as yet, but I was just speaking to a buddy and he is planning on re-running the route next year.

But this time going from North to South. If the dates work for me, I intend to join in for the northern section down to Deleintment Lake.
